ABOUT THE CLUB
The establishment of a rowing club was approved by the Board of Education on July 6th, 2015. The East Hampton Rowing Club is open to any EHHS student and a companion Parks and Recreation rowing program is available for East Hampton middle school-aged children. We are a club only; not a varsity sport. As such, we are entirely reliant on donations to run our program.
Any parent of a student rower is automatically a voting member of the club. We also welcome any member of the community with an interest in the sport, and a desire to help to come join us. Our meetings are the first Thursday of every month at 6:00PM in the High School cafeteria.
We are not only excited about the possibilities that this club represents for our students, but we also believe that this program will benefit the entire East Hampton community.

Our "Home Field"
Currently, there are only 13 public high schools in Connecticut who have rowing programs.
Few of these schools are fortunate enough to have access to a body of water that is not only ideal for rowing, but that is also a community focal point. In short, Lake Pocotopaug defines the character of our community and a rowing program complements that character.
